Code14 is for the coolant temperature sensor, and means that the sensor is telling the ECU that the car has not yet warmed up. Normally, this is because the wires to the sensor have fallen off, or the connection is no good. You should check the wiring, or at least check to see what code the ECU is giving to you.
1 Check Engine Light The Check Engine Light comes on when the TPS sends an incorrect reading to the computer. Because the TPS is monitoring the throttle plate, any malfunction will be registered.
Thistest is done with the engine off but with the ignition in the on position. Once the ground and signal wires are identified measure the voltage output with the meter as the throttle is moved. On most engines the output will vary from about 1 to 5 volts. Look to see if the output changes smoothly as the throttle is adjusted up and down.
Withyour LS1 throttle completely at the closed position, you should read a signal voltage range between .5 to .9 Volts. This represents your base TPS voltage in your Chevy Corvette. Now manually deflect your LS1 throttle so that it's fully opened. Measure the Corvette TPS sensor signal with the throttle opened fully.
